WASHINGTON DC, July 15, 2021 –The American Clean Power Association (ACP) released the following statement after the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee’s mark-up of the Energy Infrastructure Act:

“The American Clean Power Association (ACP) applauds the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee’s passage of the bipartisan Energy Infrastructure Act that included a number of transmission planning and siting provisions that will help deploy renewable energy and energy storage. ACP commends Chairman Manchin’s recognition of the need to invest in expanding transmission capabilities in order to make the electricity grid cleaner and more reliable.  We look forward to working with the Chairman and others to help make these policies a reality and help put the nation on a path to reaching the Biden Administration’s climate goals.”– Heather Zichal, CEO American Clean Power Association
