ACP Statement on Bipartisan American Affordability and Jobs Act of 2026
Sep 30 2026
WASHINGTON, D.C., September 30, 2026 – The American Clean Power Association (ACP) issued the following statement from CEO Jason Grumet regarding the introduction of the Bipartisan American Affordability and Jobs Act of 2026:
“The American Clean Power Association greatly appreciates the leadership of Senators Capito, Whitehouse, Lee, and Heinrich in developing strong, technology neutral permitting reform legislation that includes an Administration commitment to approve wind projects. All energy industries must be able to confidently rely on the durability of federal permitting decisions. The transmission provisions will also enhance grid reliability and enable economic growth. If adopted, the legislation will substantially increase the deployment of clean resources. Passage before the end of the year is essential to enable the construction of critical energy infrastructure and lower consumer prices. We look forward to working with Congress as this legislation moves forward.”
