Phillips will lead integrated marketing strategy across ACP’s events, membership, and brand as the association scales its audience and revenue goals

Washington, D.C. — September 8, 2026 — The American Clean Power Association (ACP) today announced the appointment of Nedelka Phillips as Vice President of Marketing. Phillips will build and lead the marketing function behind ACP’s membership, events, and consumer audiences and brand, reporting to Chief Communications Officer Artealia Gilliard.
As ACP’s event portfolio and membership base continue to grow, this role focuses on bringing an integrated strategy to how it reaches and engages its audiences. Phillips will partner closely with Events, Membership, and Communications leadership to strengthen audience engagement, increase awareness and attendance, and drive measurable revenue growth across the association’s priorities.
“Marketing has never been more important to how we shape our position in a rapidly changing industry landscape and advance our strategic priorities. It’s an opportunity to elevate our voice, deepen engagement, and build on the tremendous growth we’re seeing across the clean energy sector,” said Gilliard. “Nedelka brings the strategic discipline and operational depth to turn that momentum into measurable growth and revenue. She’ll be an important partner in advancing ACP’s marketing capabilities and impact.”
Phillips joins ACP from Promethean, where she served as Senior Director, Global Marketing, leading global marketing strategy and transformation across 20 international markets. Previously, she served as Senior Vice President at the United Way of the National Capital Area, overseeing marketing, brand, communications, and fundraising strategy. She also held leadership roles at the American Red Cross focused on consumer marketing and fundraising operations.
“ACP has an incredible opportunity to connect more people with the ideas, innovations, and communities shaping the future of clean energy,” said Phillips. “I’m excited to build a more integrated and measurable approach to marketing across our events, membership, and audiences.”
In her new role, Phillips will lead integrated marketing strategy across ACP’s events, membership, consumer audiences, and brand, while expanding ACP’s reach through the association’s signature and regional event portfolio, including CLEANPOWER, RECHARGE, EmpowHER, Clean Power in Color, and emerging events properties with a strategic focus to grow audiences, strengthen membership engagement, and drive event and sponsorship revenue through integrated marketing strategies. She will oversee ACPs audience communities and digital marketing ecosystem, using data and insights to expand reach, and deliver measurable results.
Phillips is a graduate of the University of Maryland with Bachelor of Arts in Communications.
