Governor Charlie Baker to Headline American Clean Power Offshore WINDPOWER Conference

WASHINGTON DC, October 12, 2021 – The American Clean Power Association (ACP) announced an additional headline speaker for its Offshore WINDPOWER Conference & Exhibition taking place October 13-15 at the Omni Boston Hotel at Seaport.

Governor Charlie Baker has focused on moving Massachusetts forward through bipartisan, results-driven leadership. Confronted with the challenges of rising energy costs and a changing climate, Governor Baker has taken nation-leading steps to diversify the Commonwealth’s energy portfolio, safeguard residents, municipalities and businesses from the impacts of climate change, and secure progress toward greenhouse gas reduction targets.
ACP previously announced that Department of the Interior Secretary Deb Haaland will deliver a keynote at the conference on October 13 at 2:30pm EDT. Sen. Edward Markey will be speaking about his Offshore Wind American Manufacturing Act in a moderated discussion on October 14 at 10:30 a.m. EDT.
Offshore wind is a once-in-a-generation opportunity and its momentum forward continues leading into ACP’s Offshore WINDPOWER Conference & Exhibition this fall.
