Chief Strategy Officer Clark to Oversee Member Company Relations

WASHINGTON DC, September 12, 2022 – The American Clean Power Association (ACP) today announced the addition of Rosanna Maietta to its executive team. Maietta joins the organization as Chief Communications Officer and Senior Counselor to the CEO, leading the association’s communications and marketing efforts and overseeing industry-leading education and conference teams.

Maietta brings decades of strategic communications expertise to the new role, joining the organization after eight years as EVP of Communications and Public Relations at the American Hotel and Lodging Association (AHLA) where she led communications and marketing for the trade association in addition to her role as President and CEO of the AHLA Foundation. Prior to that, she worked for FleishmanHillard, a global public relations and marketing agency. She started her career as a reporter based in Rome, Italy.

“We couldn’t be more excited to bring Rosanna onboard at this pivotal time for the clean energy industry and for ACP,” said CEO Heather Zichal. “Throughout her career she has demonstrated the ability to develop and implement strategies that drive results and raise awareness on key issues. As clean energy continues to play an expanded and critical role in American history, our organization will benefit from her experience elevating our visibility and our issues, speaking as the voice of clean energy.”

Maietta joins Zichal’s executive leadership team along with Jason Clark, JC Sandberg (Chief Advocacy Officer), and Heather Meier (Chief Operations Officer).

Additionally, Chief Strategy Officer Jason Clark will now oversee the organization’s membership relations team. ACP’s membership has grown to over 750 member companies, more than doubling revenue in its first 18 months. In his new, expanded role, Clark will continue building upon this member growth while deepening engagement. Clark was part of the founding team that conceptualized the vision and value proposition of the organization and, in his current capacity, already works closely with the Board of Directors and members.

“Jason’s vision, strategic thinking, and expertise on energy and policy issues is invaluable to ACP and our member companies,” continued Zichal. “After the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act, our members stand ready to deliver the rapid deployment of clean energy at scale. Clark exemplifies our commitment to providing members with the key services and benefits they need to help build the clean energy future in this unprecedented energy transition.”

Rounding out the executive leadership team is Laura Wilson Phelan, who joins the organization as Chief of Staff, supporting the CEO and focusing on organizational strategy and management. She comes to ACP with extensive experience at grassroots’ and management levels across the non-profit and government sectors.
