ACP CEO Heather Zichal Statement on Budget Reconciliation

Press Release

Jul 15 2022

WASHINGTON DC, July 15, 2022 – Heather Zichal, CEO of the American Clean Power Association, issued the following statement after news that the budget reconciliation package considered by Congress would no longer include the climate and clean energy provisions that had been under negotiation:

“It’s appalling that Congress missed this critical opportunity to accelerate affordable, clean energy deployment over the next decade — especially at a time when energy prices are crushing many Americans.  We urge our leaders to get back to the table and put America’s energy needs first.”
