Phil Sgro

Deputy Director, Media Relations

Phil is a Deputy Director of Media Relations at ACP. He works on media and communications relevant to solar energy and storage issues.

Phil has spent the past nine years developing and executing communications strategies relevant to energy, climate, and technology policy issues. He most recently worked in D.C. as a director for the Glen Echo Group and previously served as a spokesperson for Duke Energy’s federal affairs and policy department. Before his time in the nation’s capital, Phil worked on public affairs campaigns for utilities and energy developers in New Jersey.

Phil graduated with a BA in History from East Carolina University. After graduation, he briefly worked in North Carolina politics before moving back to the Mid-Atlantic region. Phil is originally from the suburbs of Philadelphia. He is an avid Eagles fan and enjoys exploring D.C. with his dog.
