Laura Morton
Laura serves as Senior Director, Policy and Regulatory Affairs, Offshore. Laura leads ACP’s offshore wind work and focuses on building the power of offshore wind in the U.S. by increasing the level of engagement between ACP’s member companies, the Administration, and Members of Congress and by collaborating with environmental organizations, coastal communities, and other users of ocean resources. Her portfolio covers offshore wind leasing, regulatory processes, and multiple-use compatibility, including commercial fishing, radar/airspace and vessel traffic, transmission, and wildlife, among others. Prior to joining ACP in 2019, Laura had more than 15 years of experience in renewable energy, transmission, and offshore wind policy and regulatory issues, both as an attorney and through senior roles at the U.S. Department of Energy, the White House Council on Environmental Quality, and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Laura received her B.A. from the University of North Carolina/Chapel Hill; her M.Sc. from the London School of Economics and Political Science; and her J.D. from The George Washington University School of Law.
