On February 20 2024, ACP submitted comments to BOEM on its Notice of Intent to prepare a Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement (PEIS) for the first five offshore wind lease areas in California. Our comments focused on framing the intent of the PEIS, collaboration with coordinating agencies, how to consider appropriate avoidance, minimization, mitigation, and monitoring measures (AMMMs), and lessons learned from the NY Bight PEIS.
