ACP, Stakeholders Send Letter to House Ways and Means Committee Urging Inclusion of Transmission ITC in Budget Reconciliation Package

Letters, comments and filings

American Clean Power, along with a diverse group 50 stakeholders, sent a letter the House Ways and Means Committee urging the committee to include an investment tax credit (ITC) for regionally significant transmission in the Committee’s final Budget Reconciliation Package.

In the letter the groups state, “a well-designed transmission ITC, with appropriate guardrails on eligibility and usable by all types of transmission developers, can spur needed investment in large-scale transmission necessary to cost effectively decarbonize the electric grid. It will also help to keep customer electric rates affordable by directly reducing, through the tax credit, the customer cost of transmission.”  Download the full letter.
