PowerVets Award

About

New in 2026, the ACP PowerVets Veterans Leadership Award honors individuals who have served in the armed forces and are now making meaningful contributions to the clean energy industry and professional community. This award recognizes veterans whose leadership, dedication, and service-oriented values continue to positively influence their organizations and the broader field.

This award will be presented by David Carroll (ENGIE North America, ACP Board Chair) on Thursday, June 4 at CLEANPOWER 2026 in Houston, TX.

Award Criteria

Nominees must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a current or former member of the U.S. Armed Forces.
  • Be actively working in or contributing to the clean power industry.

Nominees are evaluated based on the following:

  • Military service
    • Honorable service in the U.S. Armed Forces and a commitment to the principles of duty, leadership, and integrity.
  • Professional Contributions
    • Meaningful contributions to their organization, projects, or the broader industry since transitioning from military service.
  • Leadership & Character
    • Demonstrates leadership, teamwork, and resilience that positively influence colleagues and the professional community.
  • Community or Industry Engagement
    • Participation in initiatives that support veterans, mentorship, professional organizations, or activities that advance the industry.
