WASHINGTON, DC — The American Clean Power Association (ACP) today issued the following statement after President Biden signed an executive order on America’s supply chains.

“American Clean Power supports the Biden-Harris administration’s efforts to further develop the existing strong U.S. manufacturing presence for clean energy technologies. More than 530 American manufacturing facilities already contribute to the U.S. supply chain for wind energy alone and, looking forward, clean energy is set to employ nearly 200,000 domestic manufacturing workers as part of achieving a majority renewables American electric grid by 2030. Like other major industries, clean power also participates in a global supply chain, and we look forward to collaborating with the administration to help achieve the dual purposes of hiring domestic workers and rapidly deploying carbon-free energy to meet important climate goals.” – Heather Zichal, ACP CEO
