American Clean Power
Board Governance
The Board of Directors for the American Clean Power Association (ACP) serves in a critical leadership role on behalf of the industry. It is composed of the highly engaged c-suite level leaders from a diverse range of companies.
Joining ACP's Board of Directors
The deadline to apply for the Board of Directors has passed.
The Board serves as the governing body for the association to make decisions and to guide ACP’s work in the best interests of the sector.
How the Nominees are Proposed and Voted On:
ACP’s Nominating Committee is responsible for guiding the process of developing a slate of candidates from interested members for the next calendar year. The Committee is composed of the incoming Chair and four (4) other Directors currently serving on the Board.
The Nominating Committee in consultation with the Board proposes a slate of candidates that is approved by the Board and then voted on by ACP members at the Annual Meeting of the Members.
Elected Directors
Each year, a portion of the Board is elected from the broader membership to ensure the Board benefits from a diversity of individuals, business models, clean energy technologies, and other diversity factors.
All members in good-standing of ACP are eligible to nominate a candidate to the Board of Directors. These roles are vital leadership positions within the industry and will require a substantial time commitment and dedication of resources.
The remaining percentage of the Board is composed of companies reaching a total financial contribution as determined each year by the current Board of Directors. For the 2023 calendar year companies that have a total contribution of $830,000 or greater are eligible to appoint their CEO or senior-most executive in charge of the clean power business to ACP’s Board of Directors.
