
Miguel R. Salazar
Miguel R. Salazar is Deputy Director, Southeastern State Affairs where he leads ACP’s state advocacy efforts across Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Nebraska.
Miguel most recently served as the Political Director for Congressman Colin Allred’s 2024 United States Senate Campaign where he designed and led a comprehensive political outreach and engagement strategy across the state of Texas.
Prior to that he spent time on Capitol Hill in the U.S. House of Representatives where he worked served as Communications Director for the House Committee on Veterans Affairs, Communications Director for the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, National Press Secretary for the House Democratic Caucus, and Communications Director for Congressman Ruben Kihuen of Nevada.
Miguel has worked on political campaigns in Washington, D.C., and Florida and in the public policy sphere at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars. Miguel is a graduate of The George Washington University and holds a certificate in Crisis Management from the Yale School of Management. He also currently services in the United States Marine Corps Reserve.
Miguel is a Texas native and resides with his family in Austin.
