Leah Shimp Vass

Leah Shimp Vass is the Director, Political Programs at the American Clean Power Association.

Prior to joining ACP, she served as Director of Grassroots & Political Affairs for the American Land Title Association (ALTA). She managed the Title Industry Political Action Committee (TIPAC), ALTA’s grassroots network the Title Action Network (TAN), and ALTA’s grasstops program, Congressional Liaisons.

Previously, Shimp Vass ran the PACs at the International Franchise Association and CIT Group. She worked on Capitol Hill for Senator Chuck Grassley for nearly sixteen years, twelve of which were spent as Director of Scheduling. As scheduler, Shimp Vass oversaw Senator Grassley’s annual 99 county tour of Iowa, known as the “Full Grassley”. She also worked as a staff assistant and legislative correspondent on judiciary, tax, budget and oversight issues.

Shimp Vass is an Iowa native and a graduate of Drake University.
