Kleber Costa

Kleber Costa is the Chief Commercial Officer of AES Clean Energy, The AES Corporation’s US renewables business. The AES Corporation (NYSE: AES) is a Fortune 500 global power company accelerating the future of energy. AES’ vision is to accelerate a future where the US electric grid is 100% carbon free, working together with customers and many strategic partners and stakeholders, to achieve higher standards for collective sustainability goals, at competitive prices.

Mr. Costa joined AES in 2017 and served as Chief Commercial Officer for renewable energy development, conventional power generation and LNG for the AES Latin America’s business units for three years. Prior to joining AES, Mr. Costa spent nearly 20 years at NYC- and Houston-based energy companies and investment banks (Cinergy Corp, Lehman Brothers, Citigroup, Deutsche Bank, Noble Group) in energy origination, structuring, finance and M&A roles, across power, oil, natural gas and LNG. He began his career developing and building large infrastructure and hydroelectric projects.

Mr. Costa holds an MBA from the University of Warwick, UK and a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Escola Politécnica da Universidade de São Paulo, Brazil.
