
Katie Maloney
Katie Maloney is Deputy Director, Midwest State Affairs at the American Clean Power Association (ACP), where she leads state advocacy efforts across Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. In this role, she advances policies that drive clean energy investment and modernize infrastructure, with a focus on siting and permitting, transmission, energy storage, taxation, and regulatory frameworks. She works closely with governors, legislators, regulators, and stakeholders to strengthen the region’s energy grid and position the Midwest as a national leader in clean energy development.
Katie brings more than a decade of experience at the intersection of government, advocacy, and media. She has guided public affairs and communications strategies for mission-driven organizations, managed high-impact campaigns across the Midwest, and advised leaders navigating complex policy landscapes. She previously served on the White House Advance Team, where she supported communications and logistics for presidential and vice-presidential engagements across the country.
Her work has earned national media placements in outlets including The New York Times, CNBC, and Wall Street Journal, and contributed to award-winning campaigns recognized for their strategic impact.
Katie is a graduate of the University of Arkansas, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. A Midwestern native, she is passionate about expanding economic opportunity in her region and deeply committed to civic engagement. In her free time, she can be found browsing local bookstores, cheering on the Razorbacks (Woo Pig!), or lounging at the dog park with her two golden retrievers.
