JC Sandberg

Director

Mr. Sandberg is Managing Director of Global Government Affairs and Policy for GE Renewable Energy.  As Managing Director, Mr. Sandberg is part of GE Renewable Energy’s leadership team and is responsible for developing the business unit’s global government engagement strategy by working to advance renewable energy policies in the United States and around the world.

JC also serves as GE Renewable Energy’s Human Rights Program Leader.  In that capacity, he leads a cross-functional team implementing GE Renewable Energy’s human rights program across the globe.

JC advises business leadership on critical strategic initiatives as well as policy and regulatory matters in global markets including market creation, tax and trade policy, regulatory and legislative threats and opportunities, climate and environmental policy, localization of manufacturing, and corporate social responsibility initiatives.  Additionally, he is responsible for mobilizing governments within GE Renewable Energy’s manufacturing footprint to advocate on behalf of GE projects in key international markets.

During his time in government service, JC served as counsel to the United States Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works.  For his Senate service, he was recognized as one of National Journal’s “Hill 100” key congressional staff and was selected as a John C. Stennis Congressional Fellow.

Mr. Sandberg is a member of the California and District of Columbia bar associations and currently serves on the Board of Visitors of the James E. Rogers College of Law at the University of Arizona.  He received his law degree from the University of Arizona where he was awarded the Dean’s Public Service Award.  He received his Bachelors in Accounting from Brigham Young University.
