Claudia Hernandez is an experienced communications strategist with expertise spanning earned media, digital strategy, message testing, and polling. Driven by a commitment to racial and economic justice, she brings hands-on experience in policy communications and narrative change.
Before joining American Clean Power, she served as National Press Secretary & Senior Writer at the AFL-CIO. Prior to that, she was Associate Communications Director at the Immigration Hub and also previously held roles at the Center for Law and Social Policy, CLASP, and the Columbia University Center on Global Energy Policy.
Claudia holds a master of arts in sociology from Columbia University and a bachelor of arts from Scripps College. She lives in Washington, D.C. and enjoys cooking, reading, and rooting for the San Diego Padres.
