Charlie Hemmeline
Charlie Hemmeline is the Senior Director of ERCOT Regional Electricity & Transmission Policy, where he advances and promotes clean energy through advocating for policies that ensure fair access to the electricity market.
Prior to joining ACP, Charlie co-founded the Texas Solar Power Association, the leading state industry organization for wholesale and retail solar photovoltaics, and served as Executive Director from 2014-2022. He previously spent 8 years with the U.S. Department of Energy in Washington, DC leading innovative market transformation programs for solar and energy efficiency.
Charlie holds a Master of Public Service & Administration and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, both from Texas A&M University. He is based in Austin, Texas and enjoys live music, hiking, scuba diving, and karaoke.
