Ashley Smith
Ashley Smith is Director of Federal Affairs at the American Clean Power Association (ACP). As Director, Ashley leads Congressional engagement and legislative strategy on Appropriations, Agriculture, and Offshore wind issues. She brings over 12 years of experience working in Congress and government relations. Most recently she served as Deputy Staff Director for the House Committee on Agriculture.
While working in Congress she advanced legislative priorities for many issues including clean energy and sustainability in the Inflation Reduction act, CARES act, Families First Coronavirus Response Act, and the Paycheck Protection Program and Health Care Enhancement Act.
Ashley is from Parker, South Dakota and received her bachelors in Political Science and Leadership from the University of South Dakota.
