In the strongest third quarter on record, U.S. developers added 10.2 gigawatts (GW) of new utility-scale clean power capacity in Q3 2024, surpassing last year’s record third quarter by 78%.

ACP’s Clean Power Quarterly Market Report finds that Q3 brought year-to-date installations up to 29.6 GW, representing an impressive 86 percent increase over the same period in 2023. The U.S. has now deployed 294 GW of clean power capacity—enough energy to power 72 million American homes.
