ACP, Stakeholders Send Letter to Congress Urging Passage of Bipartisan Language Revoking the 10-Year Offshore Wind Moratorium

In a joint letter to Congress, ACP and the National Ocean Industries Association, The Business Network for Offshore Wind, National Association of Manufacturers, Southeastern Wind Coalition, The U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and The American Waterways Operators, urged Congress to repeal the 10-year moratorium on offshore wind leasing off the Carolinas, Florida and Georgia coasts, which is set to go into effect in July.

In the letter, the groups respectfully request that both chambers preserve the House’s language repealing the 10-year moratorium on offshore wind leasing in the final, conferenced version of the Senate’s The United States Innovation and Competition Act of 2022 and the House’s America
COMPETES Act of 2022.
