ACP Statement on Maryland Offshore Wind Partnership
Jun 7 2024
WASHINGTON, D.C., June 7, 2024 – The American Clean Power Association (ACP) released the following statement from Anne Reynolds, ACP Vice President for Offshore Wind, after the Department of the Interior and the State of Maryland signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to continue their partnership to develop a robust supply chain and ensure access to lease areas to help Maryland meet its offshore wind energy goals:
“Building a sustained offshore wind power industry in the United States only happens when states and the federal government work together to bring more clean power to Americans. Today’s announcement is an encouraging development for the future of offshore wind jobs and for abundant and reliable clean electricity for Marylanders. ACP applauds the collective commitment of the Biden and Moore Administrations to advance offshore wind projects, and we look forward to seeing this MOU’s successful implementation.”
