Puneet Verma

Puneet Verma leads federal advocacy efforts on behalf of Avangrid’s full suite of businesses including the 3rd largest wind and solar operations in the U.S. and 8 electric and natural gas utilities. With over 30 years of experience, he has an extensive background and commercial understanding in diverse aspects of the energy sector ranging from policy, advocacy, and commercialization of new ventures.

Prior to joining Avangrid, Puneet served as Manager for Federal Government Affairs for Chevron. Before that, he held increasing leadership roles within Chevron related to policy analysis and managing new technologies ventures. He also held business development and engineering roles with Pacific Gas & Electric Company and Potomac Electric Power Company.

He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech and a Master of Business Administration degree from George Washington University where he graduated with honors.
