As CEO, Ken drives Apex’s corporate strategy; advances the company’s core business functions, including the origination, development, construction, and operation of utility-scale wind, solar, and storage facilities and distributed energy resources; and leads a mission-driven team accelerating the energy transition.

Previously, Ken served as Apex’s COO (2017–2023) and vice president of operations (2015–2017). Prior to joining Apex, Ken worked for Vestas Wind Systems as a chief program manager, overseeing technology support throughout the Americas, following roles at two start-ups renewable energy IPPs.

Ken is a former U.S. Army infantry officer; he served in Europe and as part of The Old Guard, the army’s premier ceremonial unit, in Arlington, Virginia. He holds a Bachelor of Science in political science and systems engineering from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame.
