Jason Grumet
Jason Grumet leads the American Clean Power Association (ACP) as Chief Executive Officer.
As CEO of the leading trade association representing today’s multi-tech clean energy industry, Grumet is dedicated to working with ACP’s nearly 800 member companies to provide families and businesses with clean, affordable, reliable energy made in the U.S. and powered by American workers.
Grumet is respected on both sides of the aisle for his innovative approach to impacting public policy. He joins ACP from the Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC), which he founded and ran as president for 15 years. BPC is a leading voice for the fierce urgency of pragmatism developing and advocating for meaningful policy across a variety of national priorities. Jason brings that same vision and passion to ACP, building on the passage of historic legislation to accelerate clean energy innovation and deployment.
Prior to founding BPC, Grumet led the bipartisan National Commission on Energy Policy. Building a broad coalition to balance climate, security, and economic imperatives shaped his view that the national interest is best served when broad perspectives are brought together to craft durable national policy.
Grumet received a Bachelor of Arts from Brown University and J.D. from Harvard University. He currently serves on the boards of The Joint Center for Political & Economic Studies and the U.S. Chamber Association’s Committee of 100. He lives in Bethesda, Maryland with his wife and three children.
