Evangeline Hobbs
Evangeline (Evie) Hobbs is responsible for ACP’s land-based state legislative and regulatory affairs in the Eastern Region. The range of issues she works on is broad: taxes, siting, permitting, transmission, renewable/clean electricity standards, and more. She helps deliver on ACP’s strategy by working with Governors, State Legislators and Regulators, and key state agencies in support of the Eastern Region Committee’s policy agenda.
Evie came to ACP from a prominent renewable generation organization’s policy and regulatory shop, where she worked on state and local issues across the East Coast of the United States. Prior to that, she helped pass major climate and energy legislation, working for the Massachusetts Senate Assistant Majority Leader and Chair of the Joint Energy Committee.
Evie is a Massachusetts native. A graduate of Villanova University (go Cats) with a dual degree in History and Political Science, she holds a Masters in Public Policy, concentrating on Energy and the Environment from Northeastern University. In her free time, she likes biking around the Charles River Esplanade on her blue beach cruiser, complete with a customized license plate and basket.
