
Brett White
Brett White joined ACP in January 2026 as Deputy General Counsel. Brett was previously the SVP for Regulatory and Government Affairs at Pine Gate Renewables, LLC. At Pine Gate, Brett oversaw Pine Gate’s engagement on all federal government, regulatory, and policy-related issues. He has a deep understanding of electricity regulation, including extensive work on generator interconnection, transmission planning processes, and wholesale energy and capacity markets. Brett is also well-versed on other policy issues such as federal tax incentives, international trade, and domestic manufacturing. For his work, Solar Power World honored Brett in 2023 with its “Top Solar Advocate” award.
Early in his legal career, Brett spent several years in private practice representing regional transmission organizations and investor-owned utilities before FERC and the federal courts. Before his time in private practice, Brett served as an attorney-advisor in FERC’s Office of General Counsel.
Brett and his wife live in Washington, DC, where they are raising their two young sons.
