This event is members-only.
ACP’s Energy Storage Policy Committee and Markets and Transmission Committees are convening this PowerCast to help members better understand how energy storage participates in wholesale power markets today and what market reforms are needed to unlock its full reliability and economic value. The discussion will start with a practical overview of how storage earns revenue through energy, ancillary services, capacity, and resource adequacy frameworks, then move into regional market issues across all regions including PJM, MISO, SPP, ERCOT, and CAISO.
This PowerCast offers the opportunity to learn how market rules directly shape energy storage project economics, dispatch opportunities, capacity value, interconnection pathways, and long-term deployment potential. Panelists will discuss how storage is currently treated in major RTO/ISO markets, where existing rules may limit participation, and which reforms could better recognize storage as a fast, flexible, and reliable grid resource.
Join ACP and industry experts for a digestible, practical conversation on how storage works in markets, why market design matters, and how ACP’s committees are helping shape the policies and structures needed to scale energy storage across the country.
