April 11, 2024 – ACP and ACORE Letter to the Northeast States Collaborative on HVDC Transmission Standards

On April 11 2024, ACP and ACORE led a letter signed by 13 clean energy and environmental organizations about offshore wind transmission as the development of projects continues to progress. The letter was sent to policymakers in coastal Atlantic states, requesting the states complete the necessary planning and solicitation for offshore transmission systems to support the industry’s long-term growth. The groups urged these states to utilize global hardware standards that have emerged through collaborative work between European utilities and the electric equipment supply chain.
