Ben Catt

Ben Catt is the Co-Founder and CEO of Pine Gate Renewables, one of the largest solar development firms in the United States. A leader in the solar industry, and an innovator in the movement for smart energy solutions, Ben leads Pine Gate’s strategic vision to help decarbonize the U.S. electricity sector and generate the clean, affordable power of tomorrow.

As a transformative leader working shoulder-to-shoulder with his values-driven team, Ben has evolved Pine Gate Renewables from a startup solar development firm to an IPP dedicated to the innovative deployment of renewable energy with extensive experience in developing, financing, constructing, and operating solar and energy storage facilities.

A frequent speaker on the national stage, particularly on the topics of strategy, development, and finance, Ben is actively changing the conversation around renewable energy. He is a previous board member of the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) and regularly collaborates with industry experts on policy, regulation, and education to build the foundations of a thriving new economy and a better planet for generations to come.

Ben is a CFA® charterholder and holds a BS in finance from Indiana University – Bloomington. He lives in Asheville, NC.
