Three Days of Education and Networking at Siting 2021

Starting tomorrow, Tuesday, July 20, ACP will host the 2021 Siting and Environmental Compliance Virtual Summit. This event is three full days of education and networking, where experts from the siting and compliance sectors will come together for robust discussions and learning. The 2021 agenda incorporates various multi-tech topics, adding an additional educational layer to the already well-rounded agenda topics. This year’s hot topics include:

  • Wind and Wildlife
  • Community Engagement
  • Benefits of Renewable Energy Co-Location
  • Solar and Wildlife
  • The Circular Economy
  • Environmental Justice

In addition to multiple daily live stream sessions, there will be over 15 on-demand sessions addressing everything from building flexibility into your solar farm permit, to computer vision for wildlife observation, to siting and permitting for successful project financing. The event kicks off on Tuesday at 11 AM ET with keynote speaker Christy Goldfuss, SVP for Energy & Environment Policy at the Center for American Progress. The live stream sessions also include:

  • Applications and Perspectives of the Land-Based Wind Energy Guidelines
  • Benefits of Renewable Energy Co-Location
  • Choose the Path of No Change Orders
  • Mobilizing Support: Standing Up to Clean Energy Misinformation and Front Groups
  • The Intersection of Solar and Wildlife: What We Know and What Questions Remain
  • Circular Economy: Decommissioning Considerations for Renewable Energy Projects
  • Project Siting and a ‘Just’ Energy Transition

“This year’s ACP Siting and Environmental Summit is not to be missed! The unique content and forward-thinking speakers promise to push the boundaries of environmental siting and design, community participation, an equitable energy transition, and a circular economy. On the path to 100%, it will take hard work, innovation, and care to ensure we get the transition right, so come learn from those working on the front lines of these issues!” said Siting 2021 Program Co-Chair Marisa Mitchell, Head of Environmental and Permitting at Intersect Power.

Besides the powerful line-up of speakers and education sessions teed up, the event will feature unique virtual networking opportunities for attendees. The networking platform allows attendees to create their own avatar and roam around a virtual room to network with other attendees on the spot, mimicking the experience of in-person networking from the comfort of your own home.

There are three days’ worth of education and networking opportunities to be had this Tuesday – Thursday at Siting 2021, and we hope to (virtually) see you there!
