American Clean Power Week

American Clean Power Week 2024, an entire week of advocacy dedicated to supporting the ways clean energy is building a better future for the U.S., is taking place August 12-16, 2024.

The clean energy industry is uniting to #PowerTheEconomy

Clean energy creates jobs, supports local and national economic growth, and supports communities and landowners.

American Clean Power Week (ACPW) is an entire week of advocacy dedicated to supporting the ways clean energy is building a better future for families and businesses across the country.

Highlighting the economic power of clean energy is the anchor for this year’s American Clean Power Week.

Today, clean energy powers the U.S. economy and the demand for American-made clean energy is undeniable. In fact, clean energy investment announcements made over the last two years are equivalent to the combined clean energy investments made over the four decades prior—but we must continue this momentum to meet rising electricity demands and secure America’s power grid.

We must unite as an industry to highlight the benefits we are bringing to local communities.

However you plan to engage this #ACPW24, together we can #PowerTheEconomy.

Why an Economic Message?

In short: clean energy is great for America’s economy.

The U.S. wind, solar, and energy storage sectors provide good-paying jobs for over 460,000 Americans—and we’re on track to double that by 2030 to 1 million clean energy jobs.

Clean energy has already delivered over half a trillion dollars in total U.S. investment, and is expected to deliver half a trillion more by 2030. Red and blue states and counties—from Arizona to North Carolina and everywhere in between—are making significant clean energy investments to meet rising demand.

Over 150 new manufacturing facilities supporting the U.S. utility-scale clean energy industry have been announced in just the past two years, leading to a new U.S. manufacturing renaissance.

Wind and solar projects deliver over $3.5 billion each year in state and local tax payments and landowner lease payments.
