Clean Power on The Hill connects ACP Members with our country's political decision makers.
Clean Power on The Hill gives ACP members the unique opportunity to visit Washington, DC, and share their personal experiences in small group meetings with Members of Congress and their staff. Attendees participate in advocacy training and then put that training into action, educating legislators and their staff on the clean power industry’s top federal policy initiatives.
Who Should Attend?
From field technicians to installers, executives, engineers, and business development personnel, a diverse group of industry representatives is welcome to attend and show Congress the real power of clean power—our people.
This event is open to ACP members only.
What to Expect
During this two-day event, attendees have the opportunity to:
- Participate in an expert-led advocacy training to learn the most effective techniques for conducting meetings on the Hill and fostering relationships with elected officials and their staff.
- Put training into practice during in-person meetings with their elected officials and their staff.
- Understand how federal policies affect the future of U.S. clean power development.
- Network with industry colleagues, Members of Congress, and congressional staff at a reception on Capitol Hill.
Day 2 - Congressional Meetings
Attendees will meet with their assigned groups and head to relevant House and Senate offices to advocate for clean energy using ACP-provided resources and information.
Day 2 - Closing Reception
The day will conclude with a closing reception at the Warner Building to mark the end of the day’s advocacy activities.
Meeting Day Groups
To make the biggest impact, attendees will be grouped by state, maximizing the opportunity to meet directly with their Members of Congress. This tailored approach will help secure more meetings, support more effective conversations, and make it easier to refine the meeting flow and navigate the Hill. Firsthand experiences from those on the front lines often resonate most with Members of Congress.
