The Best Project of the Year Award recognizes an outstanding energy storage project that demonstrates exceptional impact through scale, innovation, speed of execution or market significance. Open to project teams and partner organizations across the value chain. The Award will be presented at ACP’s RECHARGE: Energy Storage Conference, held September 22-24, 2026, in Aurora, CO.

Evaluation Criteria

Nominees should demonstrate excellence in one or more of the following areas:

Project Impact & Market Significance: Delivered meaningful value to customers, communities, the grid, or the energy transition through project scale, performance, reliability, or strategic importance.
Execution Excellence: Successfully overcame significant technical, regulatory, financing, siting, or construction challenges to deliver a high-quality project on time and with outstanding results.
Collaboration & Partnership: Demonstrated effective coordination among project partners, stakeholders, regulators, and communities to achieve exceptional outcomes.
