The Innovator of the Year Award honors a visionary leader whose ideas, technology, policy leadership, or business innovation have advanced the energy storage industry and shaped its future. Open to industry executives, policy experts or political officials.  The Award will be presented at ACP’s RECHARGE: Energy Storage Conference, held September 22-24, 2026, in Aurora, CO.

Evaluation Criteria

Nominees should demonstrate excellence in one or more of the following areas:

Industry-Shaping Vision & Leadership: Demonstrated foresight and leadership that has influenced the direction, growth, or long-term success of the energy storage industry.
Innovation & Transformative Impact: Advanced breakthrough technologies, business models, market structures, or policy solutions that have accelerated energy storage deployment and value.
Lasting Contribution to Industry Growth: Created measurable and enduring benefits for the industry through advocacy, investment, thought leadership, research, coalition-building, or public service.
