Ted Turner, T. Boone Pickens to Debate Energy Policy in Washington, DC, Today

Press Release

Apr 19 2011

Two of America’s most prominent supporters of clean energy, Ted Turner and T. Boone Pickens, will debate energy policy today at 1 p.m. Eastern at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.
Turner will discuss renewable solar energy, including his recent solar projects in New Mexico and Atlanta, as well as nuclear disarmament and global politics. Pickens will outline his “Pickens Plan” to reduce America’s dependence on Middle East oil through energy sources such as wind power, solar power, and natural gas.
With the Middle East in political turmoil and gasoline prices topping $4 a gallon insome parts of the U.S., this discussion between two influential individuals who have staked out visionary positions on energy policy could not be more timely.
