State renewable portfolio standards: Video series brings benefits to life in Washington

We’ve previously reported on the economic and environmental benefits state renewable portfolio standards (RPSs) create.

In short, RPS are powerful job creators, can lead to lower electricity prices, help clean our air, and usually more than pay for themselves.

Now, a new video series puts real-world faces to these benefits. The mini-documentaries examine Washington state’s RPS, known as the Washington Energy Independence Act. That measure was a ballot initiative that passed 10 years ago, and since then, it has spurred enormous clean energy job creation and economic activity.
