Susan Sloan

Vice President, State Affairs

As Vice President of State Affairs, Susan leads a team aimed at building market opportunities for renewable energy through state policy.  The collective work of the team has led to numerous state and regional policy advancements, coast to coast, that allow wind developers the ability to site projects, connect to the grid and sell power. A native Texan, Susan was a co-founder of Solar Austin, and represented the Wind Coalition at the Texas capitol in a successful campaign to increase the use of renewable energy and establish the Competitive Renewable Energy Zones (CREZ).  Susan has also worked for public officials at the Texas Capitol, and represented cable and broadcast media interests before government and media, at the local, state and federal levels, as well as in Hong Kong and across Asia.
