Alejandro de Hoz


Alejandro has more than 15 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, primarily in offshore wind. Prior to becoming President and CEO of Avangrid Renewables, he was the company’s Vice President of U.S. Offshore Wind. In that role, he was responsible for the creation of an offshore wind team and the development of offshore wind projects including Vineyard Wind, Avangrid Renewables’ joint venture with Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners, and Kitty Hawk Offshore, a project with a potential capacity of up to 2.5 GW located off the coast of North Carolina and Virginia. This followed his tenure as Offshore Business Performance Director with Iberdrola, based both in London and Madrid.

Alejandro holds a degree in Physics from the University Complutense of Madrid and an MBA from ICAI-ICADE University of Madrid.
